Enter your date of birth using the date picker, then select a "calculate age as of" date (defaults to today). The calculator instantly shows your exact age broken down into years, months, and days — plus totals in weeks, hours, and days. Use the second mode to find the duration or age difference between any two dates.
Exact age is calculated by counting the full years between your birthdate and the target date, then counting the remaining full months, then the remaining days. This is more precise than simply dividing total days by 365, because months have different lengths (28–31 days) and leap years add an extra day every 4 years. For example, someone born on January 31 who is calculated as of March 1 is 1 month and 1 day older, not 1 month and 3 days — because February has fewer days.
To find your total age in days, multiply your completed years by 365, add one extra day for every leap year you've lived through, then add the remaining days since your last birthday. A 30-year-old is approximately 10,957 days old (including 7–8 leap year days). The calculator shows this total automatically — enter your birthdate and look for the "Total Days" figure in the results.
Divide your total days lived by 7 to get your age in weeks. A 30-year-old is approximately 1,565 weeks old. Parents often track infant age in weeks for the first year or two: a baby described as "12 weeks old" is 84 days old. The milestone of 1,000 weeks (about 19 years and 2 months) is a fun number to know — enter your birthdate to find out exactly when yours was or will be.
A leap year adds February 29 to the calendar, occurring every 4 years (with exceptions for century years not divisible by 400: 1900 was not a leap year, but 2000 was). If you were born on February 29, your "official" birthday falls on February 28 or March 1 in non-leap years depending on jurisdiction. For day-total calculations, leap years are fully accounted for — each one adds an extra day to your cumulative age in days.
To find the exact difference between two birthdates, subtract the earlier date from the later one in full years, months, and days. Use the "Date difference" mode in this calculator — enter both birthdates to get the precise gap. For example, if one person was born January 1, 1985 and another on June 15, 1990, the difference is 5 years, 5 months, and 14 days.
Western astrology divides the year into 12 signs based on solar position. Aries: Mar 21–Apr 19. Taurus: Apr 20–May 20. Gemini: May 21–Jun 20. Cancer: Jun 21–Jul 22. Leo: Jul 23–Aug 22. Virgo: Aug 23–Sep 22. Libra: Sep 23–Oct 22. Scorpio: Oct 23–Nov 21. Sagittarius: Nov 22–Dec 21. Capricorn: Dec 22–Jan 19. Aquarius: Jan 20–Feb 18. Pisces: Feb 19–Mar 20. The calculator shows your sign based on your birthdate.
